The Samantabhadra prayer is one of the most important Buddhist prayers, also called 'The King of Prayers'. Reciting this prayer allows one to accumulate infinite merit, not only for oneself, but especially for others, and is therefore traditionally recited for the dead or for those in particularly difficult situations. It is also the main prayer recited during the 10 days of Universal Prayers for Peace (Monlam) in which monks and nuns from all Tibetan schools participate every year.
This year, from 30th July to 1st August, the second Sakya Monlam in Europe will take place in Paris, which will be guided by Their Holinesses the Sakya Trizin (41st, 42nd and 43rd) and H.E. Asanga Rinpoche, and many great Sakya masters will arrive for the occasion.
